95, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at HopeHealth Hospice. Born in East Providence, he was the son of the late Charles and Marie (Blais) Cobb. He was the husband of the late Marion (Clark) Cobb and Ellen (Rush) Cobb.
Charles was a US Navy Veteran. He worked for Hood Ice Cream for 26 years, and then as a maintenance supervisor at Briarcliffe Manor in Johnston before retiring. In his earlier years, he was a volunteer firefighter in East Providence.
He is survived by his loving daughters, Sharon Cobb of Glocester, Dawn M. Collins and her significant other Arthur Boucher of Woonsocket, and Maryellen Cox and her husband Billy of Cranston; cherished grandchildren, Lauren Cox, Andrew Cox, Clifford J. Collins and Matthew Pugliese; and three great-grandchildren. Charles is also survived by his partner Eleanor Nichols. Charles was predeceased by his son, Michael Cobb.
His funeral service will be held in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Thursday, August 1st at 8:00 pm. Visiting hours will precede his service from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: HopeHealth Hospice & Palliative Care, 1085 N Main St., Providence, RI 02904.
