Charles Colliflower Obituary

Published by Legacy on Nov. 7, 2025.
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Charles Wright Colliflower of Clearbrook, VA. who departed this life on November 2, 2025, at the age of 75.
Born on February 5, 1950, in Frederick, MD, Charles was the son of the late John A. and Marguerite W Colliflower. He was a 1968 graduate of Frederick High School in Frederick MD and shortly after joined the Army Reserves where he served as a lineman for 6 years.
Charles was a skilled mechanic and machine technician. He was employed with Stutzman's Chevrolet (at the time B&M) as an auto mechanic. He then spent over 20 years as a machine technician at General Electric, and then Trex where he retired.
Charles will be remembered for his love of family. He was an avid hunter and sportsman and enjoyed the outdoors, a good pig roast, and nights at the firepit. From coaching the little league ball team as a father and then cheering in the stands as a grandfather, his support for his kids and grandkids was always unwavering.
His love of mechanics was displayed in his hobbies. There was nothing this man could not build or fix. His passion was cars and ATV's and spending time with family on the track. As Crew Chief of car "54" at the speedways and then on the cross-country tracks for quads "111" and "494", he would build them from the frame up just to see how fast he could make them go. And we always knew, if we broke it, he could fix it.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents John A and Marguerite Colliflower and a brother Kevin. He is survived by former spouse Toni Thomas and their children Charles Colliflower Jr "Chip" (Teresa) and Carrie Puffinburger (Adam). He has 8 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren (with another on the way). Charles is also survived by former spouse Elizabeth Smith along with 4 brothers John Wayne, Tommy, Jerry, and Joe and 1 sister Patricia, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Memorial and Celebration of life are soon to follow.
