Naugle Funeral and Cremation Service, LTD.Charles “Charlie” R. Corfield, 77, of Quakertown, PA, passed away peacefully on November 4th, 2025, at St. Luke’s Hospice House. Born in Galveston, TX, Charlie was the son of the late Charles A. Phelps and the late Madeline M. (Catino) Corfield.
Charles graduated from Cheltenham High School in 1966. After High School, he continued his education by attending Montgomery County Community College where he studied business administration.
He went on to work at the US Gauge as a quality control specialist and he enjoyed it so much he remained there for 15 years. He continued in that field for several other companies until his retirement.
His passion for work extended well beyond his professional endeavors, in his free time, Charlie enjoyed hunting, fishing, and building and repairing custom fishing rods. He always had a special place in his heart for the outdoors. He was also an excellent cook. In addition, he loved music and had an extensive record collection. Some of his favorite artists were the Beatles, Joni Mitchell, the Doobie Brothers, and CSN.
Earlier in his life, Charlie was an athlete. He participated in many sports; he was a gifted baseball player and played from a young age through high school.
Later in his life, Charlie took an active role in the lives of his grandchildren. He taught them all to fish and took them out for their first experiences in the sport. He was the driver for the official birthday wine tours every year for his daughters and these experiences are cherished memories for the entire family.
He was happiest when he was with his family and friends and also when he was building custom fishing rods with his business CRC Custom products.
He will be remembered for his kindness. He had the gift for making others smile and leaving a lasting impact on all who crossed his path.
Above all else, Charlie loved his family deeply and cherished the time spent with them.
Charlie will be dearly missed by his wife, Lynn, together they shared 25 loving years of marriage; his children, Colleen Saitta and Christina Naugle (spouse Ryan Naugle); his grandchildren, Brody Saitta, Shannon Saitta, Madelyn Naugle, and Connor Naugle; along with his nieces, Lynn Upham and Nancy O’Neill; and nephews, Nick Corfield and Tim Corfield, and his former wife, Charlene Longacre.
