Charles Greer Crowder, 72, of Raeford passed away Monday, January 5, 2026 in his home surrounded by his family.
Charles was born in Moore County, NC on July 2, 1953, son to the late Orville Crowder and Maude Greer Crowder. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Mike Crowder.
Charles dearly loved his children and grandchildren, and Patricia was the center of his life. No matter where he went, he naturally became the center of attention, engaging others in conversation and bringing laughter to those around him. Whether at church, the grocery store, the department store, or even while sitting in his car, he was always connecting with people. Charles was a devoted member of Lumber Bridge Presbyterian Church, where he faithfully served as an Elder. He was also an active member of the Raeford Jaycees and co-chaired Relay for Life in Hoke County. His passing will be deeply felt by his family and by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Crowder of the home; sons, Greer Crowder and wife Amanda of Raeford, Tucker Crowder of Raleigh, Austin Crowder and wife Ashley of Georgetown, TX; a brother, Sammy Crowder of Raeford; a sister, Sandra Crowder of Raeford; his grandchildren whom he loved so much, Riley and Addison and many extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Friday, January 9, 2026 at Lumber Bridge Presbyterian Church, 400 North Fayetteville Street, Lumber Bridge, NC 28357.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Lumber Bridge Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. Eugen Bach officiating.
In Lieu of Flowers, Memorials may be made to Lumber Bridge Presbyterian Church, P.O Box 520, Lumber Bridge, NC 28357.
