Charles Dale

Charles Dale, of Dawson, passed away Saturday, November 8, 2025 at the Johnson Memorial Care Center in Dawson at the age of 85. 

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 14, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Lac qui Parle Lutheran Church in rural Dawson with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.

Charles Richard Dale was born on January 21, 1940, in Dawson, MN, to Clarence and Mildred (Anderson) Dale. He was baptized and confirmed at Lac qui Parle Lutheran Church in rural Dawson. 

Charlie attended Dawson High School, graduating with the class of 1957. After high school, he enlisted in the United States National Guard, serving until 1963. That same year, he joined his father on the family farm, where he farmed faithfully until 2005. 

A lifelong member of the Dawson community, Charlie served on the Town Board, the Credit Union Board, and was one of the founding members of Dawson Assisted Living. He especially enjoyed his coffee time at Erickson Chevrolet and helping with car deliveries. 

In his free time, Charlie loved playing cards, going to the races, and, most of all, spending time with his family and close friends. 

He is survived by numerous relatives and friends. 

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, aunts and uncles.
