Charles Darling Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by All County Funeral Home & Crematory - Treasure Coast Chapel on Jan. 4, 2026.
Charles Arthur Darling, 78, of Jupiter, Florida passed away at home on December 27, 2025 with his wife by his side. Chuck was born June 4, 1947 in Newburyport, Massachusetts to the late Charles and Anita Darling and was also preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Nugent. Chuck is survived by his devoted wife, Cindy Darling; child Brandy (Cliff) Helmey; grandchildren Elise Vonglis, Lennox Vonglis, Cade Vonglis and Evalynn Helmey; and extended family and friends.
Chuck's greatest passion in life was his family. He always made sure they knew how much he loved them. This included giving flowers to his wife "just because" and checking in daily with his daughter, no matter where either of them were. His other passions included scuba diving, hunting, fishing, shooting and gunsmithing. He was always happy to share his passions and knowledge.
Chuck was a thoughtful and considerate man, who paid attention to small details. He never forgot birthdays, special days and events. He often lent a hand to friends and reached out to let them know he was there. Chuck made a point to stay in touch with elderly relatives and sick friends where he offered them his presence and bright conversation.
Chuck was a fun-loving, funny guy who got along with and genuinely enjoyed talking with anyone. He loved telling stories so much that you would think he would run out of things to say, yet most never heard the same story twice. He loved joking and teasing those closest to him, which often made them laugh.
He loved all kinds of animals. He especially couldn't walk by a dog without stopping for a pet and kind word. He would often sneak too many treats to dogs and cats of family and friends.
Chuck was a skilled mechanic. He spent most of his career in the District Facilities Department of Palm Beach State College where he worked for over 25 years before retiring. In retirement, Chuck and Cindy enjoyed dividing their time between Florida and the mountains of North Carolina.
No service is planned.
