Charles Daum Obituary
Charles C. "Chuck" Daum Jr., age 76 of Jerseyville and formerly of Carrollton passed away Thursday, August 28, 2025 at Jersey Community Hospital in Jerseyville with his family by his side. He was born August 29, 1948 in Carrollton, the son of Charles and Leora Baumgartner Daum.
He is survived by his children, Shana (Brett) Vetter of Carrollton, Charles Daum III of Jerseyville, Alison (Jeramy Robeen) Kirkwood of Jerseyville and Julia (Christopher) Roemer of Godfrey, two grandchildren, Sydney Kirkwood and Irisa Roemer, a sister, Linda Daum of Carrollton, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, David Daum, a sister, Mary Daum, and a nephew, Brian Daum.
Chuck farmed and raised cattle on Daum Station Farm in Linder Township all of his life. He worked for Tri- County FS for many years. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Carrollton, Greene County Farm Bureau, Carrollton Lion's Club, Knight of Columbus and Elks Lodge. He enjoyed going to local places and visiting with his friends playing the jukebox and dancing. He never met a stranger.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Carrollton with burial to follow in Carrollton City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Carrollton is assisting the family. Condolences may be left online at www.airsman-hires.com

As a kid I spent a good amount of time in the Daum home. So many fond memories. Chuck could always make you laugh. He will be dearly missed! RIP Chuckles.
