Charles Davis Obituary
Charles Michael Davis, 76, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away on September 27, 2025, peacefully at his son’s home in Groesbeck, Texas.
Charles was born on November 1, 1948, to Joseph Lige “Red” Davis and Frances Mae (Gable) Davis, in Chanute, Kansas. His family moved to Belton, Texas, where Charles grew up and lived for several years, before moving to Bartlesville, OK, in 1964.
Charles enlisted in the United States Army on July 19, 1968, Oklahoma City, OK, serving in the Korean War. During his time with the Army, Charles earned an Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal from his time in Korea, and a Rifle Sharpshooter commendation. Charles worked as a truck driver in the military, as well as in civilian life, before retiring in 2003.
In his free time, Charles loved to fish, ride motorcycles, and visit Woolaroc. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion #105 Honor Guard. He will be missed by those that loved him.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents: Joseph and Frances Davis; his daughter: Amy Marie Davis; his son: Michael Anthony Davis Ferguson; his brothers: JP Davis and Andy Davis; and his sisters: Cheryl and Patty.
Those left to cherish the memory of Charles include his son: Gerry Davis and wife, Jennifer Lavender of Groesbeck, TX; his grandson: Landon Davis; his sisters: Barbara Pace of Ochelata, OK, Kathryn Hicks of Bartlesville, OK, and Lynda Garrett of Bartlesville, OK, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held for Charles on Sunday, November 9, 2025, beginning at 6:00 PM and ending at 8:00 PM in the chapel at Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Monday, November 10, 2025, at 10:00 AM, also at the funeral home with Rev. Waymond White officiating with interment following at the Ramona Cemetery.
