Charles Desnick

Charles Burton Desnick, age 86, of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, passed away on February 25, 2026, surrounded by family. Preceded in death by wife of 62 years, Sheila "Surrie" Desnick; parents, David and Mary Desnick; sister-in-law, Bayla (Lester) Tint; and nephew, Jason Tint. Survived by sons, Jeff (Lisa) and Alan (Kim); brother, Leslie (Karen); grandkids, Emily, Danny, and Jake; nieces, Julie and Marni; and great-nephews and niece. Chuck was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on September 14, 1939, and was raised in North Minneapolis, where he graduated from North High School in 1957. He served in the United States Marines, Navy, and Air Force. Chuck was an HVAC technician for many years with Sears and Bonfe, and was also an instructor at Dunwoody College and St. Paul College. He was owner and co-owner of multiple restaurants, including Beef 'n Bun, Fridays Deli, and Desi's Sweet Shop. Chuck was a world traveler and enjoyed spending many of those vacations at his favorite place: Negril, Jamaica. A special thank you to the staff at Chapel View Health Care Center and Methodist Hospital for the care of Chuck during the past few years. Graveside service 2:30pm FRIDAY, February 27th at BETH EL MEMORIAL PARK, 3800 Winnetka Avenue North, Crystal, MN. Shiva 7:30pm SATURDAY at BETH EL SYNAGOGUE, 5225 Barry Street West, St. Louis Park, MN.
