Charles DeVuyst, Jr. 89, of Franklin, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at the Milford Regional Medical Center in Milford. He was the beloved husband of Joan (Wilson) DeVuyst.

Born in Fair Lawn, NJ, he was a son of the late Charles Sr. and Margaret (Bush) DeVuyst. Chuck built a successful career as a sales manager in the food service industry, where his dedication, professionalism, and warmth earned him the respect of colleagues and clients alike. After his retirement, he stayed active and engaged, working as a limousine driver and later providing security at Gillette Stadium - a role that combined his strong work ethic with his love for the New England Patriots.

An avid outdoorsman, Chuck found joy in hunting and fishing all over the world, traveling to destinations such as Africa, Europe, and Canada in pursuit of his passion. He was a proud and active member of the Rod and Gun Club and the Anglers Club, where he shared countless stories, laughs, and memories with friends. His love for the outdoors was matched by his appreciation for camaraderie and community.

Chuck is survived by his loving wife, Joan (Wilson) DeVuyst; stepdaughter Kathy (David) Crans; stepson Jeffrey (Lorena) Tobey; granddaughters Jessica Crans, Sarah (Charlie) Scaptura, Jamie Tobey, and Amanda (John) Morrison; and two great-grandchildren Hailey Joan and Brady Charles Morrison. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Margaret (Bush) DeVuyst, and his brother, William "Billy" DeVuyst.

In keeping with Chuck's wishes, there will be no public services. A private celebration of his life will be held with family.

The Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. is honored to assist the DeVuyst family.
