Charles E. "Chuck" Dilsaver, age 86, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at his home surrounded by the love of his family.
On November 26, 1938 Charles was born in Marion, Ohio. The son of the late Harry E. and Elizabeth M. (Penhorwood) Dilsaver. Chuck received his education from Green Camp High School and graduated with a class of nine students in 1956.
After school, Chuck proudly served his country in the United States Army, earning the prestigious rank of Sergeant. On June 28, 1959 several months before leaving the Army, Chuck married his soulmate, Junita A. (Smith) Dilsaver. The loving couple shared 66 marvelous years together.
Once discharged from the Army, Chuck started a 35-year career at Ohio Edison. Upon retiring Chuck worked with several crop adjustment companies. Chuck enjoyed officiating basketball, mowing his lawn, and camping with family and friends. Chuck loved his church, Marion Naz.
His greatest joy was his wife, Nita of 66 years, son and daughter in law, Dave and Mindy, his daughter, Denise, his grandson, wife, and great grandson, Justin, Ashley, and Axel, and his granddaughter and husband, Alyssa and Marshall.
In addition to his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by his sister, Juanita Mae Olsheski.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made out to MarionNaz in Chuck's memory.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Tranquility Hospice for the compassionate care, comfort, and support they provided.
A private service will be held on Monday, October 13th, 2025 followed by a time for friends to visit and enjoy a bite to eat with the family from 11:00AM to 2:00PM at MarionNaz cafe (233 West Church St) in Marion, Ohio.
