It is with heavy hearts, the family announces the passing of Charles "Scott" Dupuy, who left us on April 28th 2025 at the age of 58.
There will be a celebration of life gathering from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M., on Friday, May 23, 2025, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Monroe, Louisiana
Scott was a man who lived life boldly and without hesitation. Adventurous by nature, he embraced every opportunity to explore, learn, and experience all that life had to offer. His outgoing spirit made him a friend too many and a stranger to none. A man of many talents, Scott was a master of countless trades, whether it was fixing, building, or creating, he could do it all - and he always did it with skill, patience and a touch of humor. Scott loved sharing his knowledge with others, never missing a chance to lend a hand or teach someone something new. Above all, Scott believed life was meant to be lived – not just endured. He was always the one to organize an adventure, a gathering, or a simple moment that turned into a treasured memory. His laughter, stories, and bighearted nature filled every room he entered. Though Scott may be gone from our sight, the adventures, lessons and memories he gave us, will carry on forever. Scott leaves behind a legacy of laughter, and unforgettable memories.
Scott is survived by his daughters, Tanya Lou Dupuy of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and Mary Helen Dupuy of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Nicolas Rosas, Julian Rosas, William Keegan Hill and Sailor Vivian Hill; father, Tom "Tuck" Dupuy and stepmother, Gail Dupuy; mother, Elizabeth "Libby" Everett; sister, Julie Ostman; mother of his children, Louise Duval; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; along with countless friends who became like family.
Special thanks to Glenwood ER and ICU, St. Francis Speciality Hospital 7th Floor, and Louisiana Hospice for the genuine care and concern and the sincere personal acts of holding Scott's hand, discussing his life with him, talking about God and praying with him. They explained things to us, his family, during this horrible disease and comforted us during his transition. Scott was surrounded by "his people" as he liked to say during his last days. We also would like to thank Dr Elmalah who was always there for us answering questions and letting us know his main concern was keeping Scott comfortable, making a difficult situation a little more bearable. For that we are so very thankful!
