Charles Kevin Edmonds, 57, of Pikeville, KY, finished his earthly journey on November 25, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family following his courageous battle of Glioblastoma brain cancer. Charles was born on March 9, 1968, to the late Paul “Pete” and Joan Ratliff Edmonds in Ary, KY.

Charles married his devoted wife, Kristi, on June 14, 1997, and together they share two children, Hannah and Zachary. Charles was very proud of his children, their accomplishments, and loved them dearly.

Charles was a faithful member of Maranatha Bible Church, where he served the Lord for most of his life. He never doubted the Lord’s plan or complained about his circumstances. He praised the Lord despite his hardships and looked towards the gospel for healing and comfort. He was an inspiration to many when it regarded his faith.

Charles is survived by his loving wife, children, and brother Gregory (Gay) Edmonds, Sister-in-Law Brandi Lockard, Brother-in-Law Joey McCarty, Nieces and nephews, Kasey (Jordan), Hollie, Joshua (Annly), Logan, Lainey, Micheal, Anna, Andy and a host of family and friends who will miss him dearly.

He is now reunited with his parents, brother Johnny, and sister Paula in Heaven.

If you had Charles as a friend, you were ultimately blessed. He was a friend to all and didn’t expect anything in return. If he told you something, you could count on it to be true and that he would do it. He lived his life in a way that you didn’t have to guess what he believed or stood for. He was a soft-spoken person that didn’t seek the attention of others and was a humble man.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 28th, 2025, beginning at 4:00PM at Lucas and Son Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, November 29th, 2025, at 12PM with Mike Hopson, Joshua McCarty, and Gary McCoy officiating. Burial will follow at the Annie E. Young cemetery in Pikeville, KY.

Charles lived his life as a testimony of his faith and trust in the Lord. He will be forever missed, but we will carry on his legacy. “Well done, good and faithful servant.”- Matthew 25:23
