Charles M. Edwards, 81, of Niles, passed away Saturday morning, January 24th surrounded by his family at his residence.
"Chuck" as he was affectionately known was born May 7, 1944 in Youngstown, a son of the late Clyde E. and Ellen E. (Datkuliak) Edwards.
He was a 1962 graduate of Hubbard High School and worked as a welder for the former Packard Electric Corp. in Warren for more than 25 years, prior to retiring. He also proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from 1962-65.
Chuck married the former Toni L. Cameron on March 15, 2009. They were together for 35 years and shared almost 17 years of marriage and many happy memories. She survives him.
He was an avid fisherman and loved taking annual trips to Canada with his fishing buddies for more than thirty years. He was also very handy and could build or fix just about anything. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and extended family, especially his beloved grandchildren. Chuck was a loving, caring husband, father, and grandfather. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
