A devoted father, Poppy, and gentle soul passed away on December 5, 2025, at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital. He leaves behind his small legacy of 4 loving daughters and his precious grandchildren.
Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, on January 18, 1959. Chuck was the only son of the late Charles Robert Elbon Sr. and the late Betty Gayle Coffelt Elbon. He was the brother of one sister who passed during labor and delivery, Patricia Elbon. He graduated with honors from Northside High School in Houston, Texas. Followed with an associate's degree in nursing. He was pursuing a BSN when he sustained an unfortunate work-related injury, which altered his remaining life. This sadly led to very difficult years of health issues and struggles with mental health, but he was supported by his best friend and former wife, Rhonda Marie Lane, for 25+ years, as well as his daughters. Though there were struggles, Chuck was surrounded by love and support and was always willing to help those around him. He was known by those who knew him as a generous and gentle soul.
Chuck enjoyed many hobbies like reading, studying physics for fun, collecting comic books, horror and Marvel universe movie buff, and all the "nerdy" things he could get his hands on. Chuck was also passionate about Rock' N' Roll. Specifically, Pink Floyd was one of his favorites. In another lifetime, Chuck even had a brief career as a WWE wrestler alongside his childhood best friend David McGhee.
He is survived by his four daughters, Sara Marie Elbon, Jessica Ann Elbon, Erica Elbon Huerta (Raymond Michael Huerta), and Angela Elbon Capell (Allen Christopher Capell). He is also survived by his seven grandchildren, McKenzie Ryleigh Hall, Khloe Elizabeth Hall, Aidyn James Huerta, Tyler James Hall, Charleigh Rae Huerta, Mateo Phoenix Huerta, and Banks Allen Capell.
