Charles Allen Englund, 84, of Nashville, passed away April 22, 2025.
Charles was born in rural Minnesota and attended the Lutheran Church until the family moved to Scottsbluff Nebraska. He attended college in South Dakota while already working in his dream job of being on the radio. He moved back to Minnesota for another radio station job where he met Carol Hoiland and was soon married and a father to Alison and later, Clark. Work opportunities lead to moves to Detroit, Memphis, and then finally to Atlanta in the early 70s until crossing over into a new career as a TV news anchor in Macon GA from the early 80s into the mid-90s before the dream of the FLA beaches and sun finally won out and he went on to do radio work and freelance announcing and podcast work in the Sarasota / Venice area into his early 80s before moving back to TN with his son Clark in Nashville to finally "retire", watching sports and enjoying the southern charm and weather.
Preceded in death by both parents, Clifton and Doris Englund; Brother, Robert Englund; And former wives, Carol Hoiland and Patricia Buffington.
Survived by son Clark Englund, daughter Alison Englund, nephew Jason Englund, grandchildren Olivia, Madeline, and Austin Kurtz.

I am an old friend of Chucks in Sarasota. He was such a good friend and we had many laughs and adventures together, especially the drum circle on the beach and long talks. We went on the Tall Ship with Clark....a fun day. I am so sad he is gone...I will always remember his wonderful voice and his blue eyes. Namaste, my friend.....you will always be in my heart....Carol
