Charles Erickson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Thayer-Rock Funeral Home - Farmington on Jan. 7, 2026.
Charles "Chuck" Keith Erickson, age 68, of Royal Oak, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026.

Born on March 13, 1957, Chuck cared deeply for those close to him. He wasn't one for big displays of emotion, but he showed his care in practical ways. He checked in on family, remembered birthdays, and stayed connected in the ways he knew best. He always made sure to share his delicious cooking and enjoy a chat and a laugh with friends. His wife, Lois, and his dog, Copper, were his world.

Chuck was married to his beloved wife, Lois Erickson for 22 years, and together they shared countless memories-especially at their home Up North in Harrison, Michigan, where Chuck loved spending time in the great outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Erickson and Marlene (Tieffenbach) Erickson, and by his brother-in-law Robert Robinson. Chuck is survived by his sister Barbara (Erickson) Robinson, and by his faithful dog Copper, who rarely left his side.

A lifelong dog lover, Chuck cherished his pets-Molly, Kibbles, and Cody-who passed before him. Copper remained his loyal companion to the very end.

Chuck retired from Jacob's Technology, leaving behind a career marked by dedication and hard work. In retirement, he embraced the things he loved most: cars, tinkering in the garage, boating and bonfires Up North, grilling, and excellent cooking. He also enjoyed cheering on the Detroit Lions, accompanied by Lois and Copper, a good meal, and the sweet comforts of home.

Chuck will be deeply missed and eternally remembered. The family has chosen to remember Chuck at a private celebration of life event that will take place in the Spring.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations in Chuck's name to Michigan Humane Society.
