Skip Franges passed away peacefully October 13, 2025 after a brief illness.

Skip was born in Pen Argyl, Pennsylvania, son of Charles and Orfa Franges on September 6, 1947. He was raised by his parents in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Liberty High School in 1965 and from Rider College in February 1975.

Skip was known for his warm smile, generous heart, and unwavering devotion to family and friends. He could always be found talking to his loved ones by phone.

On October 25, 2019, he married the love of his life JoAnne, and they together shared six wonderful years.

He loved baseball and golf and all sports, and he loved watching the news.

Skip is survived by his loving wife, JoAnne Franges; his first wife Gayle Wildoner Franges, mother of his two children; his son, Joel Franges and daughter, Rori Pruslinski (Jason); grandchildren, Jonas and Ella; his brothers, Timothy Franges (Judy) and James Franges; step-children Jay and Janine Nardelli.

Skip is preceded in death by his second wife Deborah Weaver-Higgins.

Skip served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam conflict from March 1967 until March 1970. He received many honors including the Purple Heart Award. He was a Captain.

Skip also ran a steel company in Romania for many years with his knowledge from working at Bethlehem Steel for eleven years.

A celebration of his life is forthcoming.
