Charles Edward Fulbright

Mr. Charles Edward Fulbright, age 91 of Preacher Savage Road, Toccoa passed away Monday, May 12, 2025 at his residence surrounded by his family.
A son of the late John Jackson Fulbright and Nellie Canady Fulbright, he was born June 7, 1933 in Franklin County, Georgia, having lived most of his life in Franklin and Stephens Counties. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He was retired from Coats and Clark with 44 years of service, was a member of Hunter's Creek Baptist Church and attended Carnes Creek Baptist Church. He loved working in his garden and plowing garden spots for others in the community. Charles loved watching NASCAR racing on Sunday afternoons. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and was the last surviving member of his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wanslie Fulbright, son-in-law, James Vaughn, grandson, Rory Winsor, three sisters, Sarah Bradley, Peggy Barnes,Sandra Peach and brother, Floyd Fulbright.
Survivors include his daughter, Janet Vaughn of Toccoa; his son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Deborah Fulbright of Toccoa; grandchildren, Crystal Fulbright, Christopher Vaughan, Ryan and Sade Winsor Hansen; great-granddaughters, Ava Mosley and Winnie Rose Hansen; a number of nieces and nephews, loving caregiver and dear friend Susie Adams, along with numerous caregivers.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 15, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend David Ritcey officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Eddie Fulbright, Phillip Payne, Joe Bell, Michael Sorrells, Billy Shirley, Tony Fulbright and Janet Vaughn.
The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Thursday from 11:00 A.M. until the service time. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.
Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to Amedisys Hospice at 53 Rock Drive, Toccoa, GA 30577 in memory of Mr. Charles Edward Fulbright.
Interment will follow in the Stephens Memorial Garden with Military Honors by the U.S. Army Honor Guard and the V.F.W. Post 4346 Honor Guard.
