Charles Henry "Chuck" Gabel, 87 of Kingsville, Missouri passed away Friday, August 8, 2025 at his home. Chuck was born March 31, 1938 in Kansas City, Kansas; son of Clyde W. Gabel and Emma (Johnson) Gabel. He was raised in the Kansas City, Missouri area and served in the United States Army as a paratrooper. Upon his honorable discharge from military service, Chuck served as a Building Maintenance Engineer with UMB Bank in Kansas City for many years. Upon retiring in 2001, he moved to the Kingsville area. His hobbies included working on cars and fiddling around on his acreage. He mainly cherished spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Survivors include his daughter-in-law: Teresa Gabel of Holden, MO; son: Chris Gabel of Lee's Summit, MO; sister: Marion Wheeler of Lone jack, MO; and eight grandchildren: Clyde Gabel, Kaitlyn Gabel, Sierra Gabel, Makayla Gabel, Caden Gabel, Cameron Gabel, Katie Gabel and Kaylie Gabel. He was preceded in death by his son: Kurt Gabel and two sisters: Phyllis Carney and Delores Weir. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 21st at Williams Funeral Chapel in Holden with Pastor Bobby Kent of Medford Rock Island Church officiating. Interment will follow at New Liberty Cemetery, located southeast of Holden, in the Magnolia community. Full Military Honors will be provided by U. S. Army Honor Guard; Munday - Hancock Post #90 of the American Legion and V F W Memorial Post #5844 both of Holden. The family will receive friends, one hour prior to service, Thursday at Williams. Memorial Contributions are suggested to New Liberty Cemetery Assoc. Online condolences may be left at www.williamsfuneralchapel.net
