Charles Louis Geiger, 75, passed away on January 26, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of courage, devotion, and deep love for his family and community.
Born on September 30, 1950, Charles lived a life defined not simply by years, but by the impact he made on those around him. He was a devoted husband to Barbara Geiger, with whom he built a life grounded in loyalty, partnership, and enduring commitment. Together they created a home marked by strength, laughter, and faithfulness through every season.
Charles was a proud father to his two sons, Ryan Geiger and Brad Geiger. He believed in leading by example - teaching responsibility, resilience, and integrity not only through words, but through action. His steady presence and willingness to step forward in difficult moments shaped the men his sons would become.
He was also a cherished grandfather to Kirra Geiger, Elijah Geiger, and Caleb Louis Geiger. Being "Grandpa" brought him immense joy. Whether camping, fishing, gardening, or simply spending time together, he took pride in passing down practical skills, patience, and an appreciation for life's simple moments.
Earlier in life, Charles was recognized as a local hero in Baltimore, Maryland, after courageously rescuing a young girl pinned beneath a vehicle, applying a lifesaving tourniquet until emergency responders arrived. Though publicly honored for his bravery, those closest to him knew that stepping up in moments of need was simply who he was.
Charles had a deep appreciation for history and craftsmanship, often found sharing stories behind antiques at flea markets or tending to his garden with care and dedication. He found joy in growing tomatoes and peppers, canning produce, making homemade salsa, and spending time outdoors. To him, gardening and farming were not just hobbies but reflections of patience, hope, and the value of nurturing what matters most.
He will be remembered for his courage, his humor, his protective spirit, his unwavering love for his family, and as the "candy man" to all the kids at Church. His life reminds us that legacy is not built in grand gestures alone, but in everyday faithfulness - in showing up, in protecting, in teaching, and in loving well.
Charles leaves behind his beloved wife Barbara; his sons Ryan and Brad; his grandchildren Kirra, Elijah, and Caleb; and many extended family members and friends whose lives were enriched by knowing him.
A celebration of life service will be held at Covenant Power Ministries in Crossville, TN on Sunday, March 1, 2026 at 3 p.m., with family and friends invited to gather in honor of his life and legacy.
Though he will be deeply missed, the impact of his life continues in the family he loved, the lessons he passed down, and the countless moments he helped shape.
