Jerry Llewellyn, age 85, of
Rossville, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord on February 27, 2026, at his home. He was born April 30, 1940, in
Athens, Tennessee. Jerry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, and his life was a great blessing to all who knew him.
Jerry left school at the age of 17 to begin working in auto body repair, a trade he took great pride in. He loved cars and enjoyed working with his hands, always willing to help family and friends with anything that needed fixing. He enjoyed spending time in the garage, talking about cars, playing the guitar, and sharing stories with those he loved.
More than anything, Jerry loved the Lord and loved going to church. He was a member of the Church of God and attended Spring Creek Church of God for many years. His faith was an important part of his life, and he trusted in God through both good times and hard times. He believed strongly in living right, loving his family, and doing what he could for others. His family finds peace in knowing his faith carried him home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Grace and James C. Llewellyn; his sister, Joan Ashley of Chattanooga; and his brothers, George Llewellyn and John Llewellyn of
Rossville, Georgia.
He is survived by the love of his life of over 61 years, Judy Llewellyn; his son, Chris Llewellyn and wife Tracy; his grandchildren, Kaden Llewellyn (Emily Olstynski) and Katey Llewellyn; his special niece, Ginger Sparks; his sisters, Jean (Rocky) Leonhardt, Judy (J.W.) Johnson, and Diane Frye; and his brother, Jimmy (Bertie) Llewellyn. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who will cherish his memory.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. William Horton and Hearth Hospice for caring for him in his final days.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 1, 2026 and Monday, March 2, 2026 from 11:00 A.M. until the funeral hour of 2:00 P.M. at the South Crest Chapel at Lane Funeral Home in
Rossville, GA.
Interment will be held at Tennessee Georgia Memorial Park, where he will be laid to rest.
The family finds comfort in the words of Scripture, Il Corinthians 5:8 (NKJV):
"We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord."
Though he will be greatly missed, his family rejoices in the assurance that he is now at peace in the presence of his Savior.
