Charles Conrad Green, 66, entered eternal rest in Winston-Salem on Saturday, September 6, 2025. He was born on December 10, 1958, in Quinton, Virginia, to the late Mary Osborne Green and Rev. Dr. Calvin Coolidge Green. Mr. Green graduated from New Kent High School in 1976 in New Kent, Virginia. Mr. Green received his Bachelor's Degree from James Madison University and his Master's Degree in Education from N.C. A&T. He began teaching in 1983 at Salisbury High School and retired in 2014 from East Forsyth High School in Kernersville, North Carolina. He was a lifetime member of the NAACP and received "Coach of the Year" awards many times over. In addition to his devotion to athlete mentorship, his joys in life included riding motorcycles, studying Egyptian art and history, handicrafting and taking road trip adventures. Hundreds of football, basketball and track and field student athletes were coached by Mr. Green and many more learned driving safety and education during his 42 year career.

Mr. Green was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Terrell Middleton. He is survived by his three children, Charles Green Jr. (Amber) of Durham, N.C., Carmen Green of Oakland, Calif., and Hope Middleton of Winston-Salem, N.C.; grandchildren Amari Ager, Tyler Middleton, Taylor Middleton, Teyana Middleton, Brooklynn Middleton, Dawsyn Green and Jonas Green; brothers, Robert Green (Gail) of Chesterfield, Va., and Anthony Green (Michelle) of Toano, Va.; numerous beloved nieces and nephews; and former wife, Lora Davis Green.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 20th, 11:30 a.m., at Salem Funerals and Cremations, 2951 Reynolda Rd., Winston-Salem, N.C. 27106. The memorial service will be livestreamed at www.salemfh.com.

In addition to cards and plants, the family would like donations to be made to the Colorectal Cancer Equity Foundation.

Condolences to Conrad Green family. Conrad and my older brother Frank E. Christian, Jr. are now reunited. They were great friends and played football together at New Kent High. Conrad's father was my Sunday School Teacher at Second Liberty Baptist Church. His day was an excellent Sunday School Teacher.
