Charles Haines, 53, of Kyle Texas (formerly of Wilmington, Ohio) passed away February 26, 2024. He was born October 21, 1970 in Wilmington, Ohio, son of Loren J. Haines of Wilmington, Ohio and the late Donna Lou Haynie Haines.
Mr. Haines was the regional operations manager for Pinnacle Logistics in Austin, Texas. He was a 1989 Graduate of Clinton Massie High School and a 1993 graduate of Wilmington College. He received his MBA in 1996 from Wright State University. He was a member of Chester Friends Meeting.
In addition to his father, he is survived by two sons, Chase Haines and Jeffrey Haines; a sister, Loretta Haines; a grandson, Jettson Haines; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by grandparents, Edward Haynie, Clara Catherine Haynie, Thad Haines, and Mary Emma Haines.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 12:00 Noon, Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio. A service with Mike McCormick officiating, will begin at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, March 16.

I was a neighbor of Mr. Haines and would like to give my sincerest condolences to his friends and family. It was quite unexpected and sorrowful news that we received of his passing.
