Charles Rocky Hale, longtime Jones resident, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2025 at his residence in Jones at the age of 66.
Charles was born January 20, 1959 in Lancaster, California to Charles Clay and Ruby Ellen (Davis) Hale. He moved to Oklahoma in 1967. Charles developed a love for the Lord at an early age. He would later marry the love of his life, Brenda Looney, on August 26, 1983 in Choctaw, OK. They would have been married for 42 years this month.
Charles was a loving father and an even better grandpa. He loved fishing when he got the chance. Charles was a framer and built houses for most of his life. He would break his back to do anything to help someone. He could build just about anything he wanted with his hands and would often help other people who may have had a hard time completing a project.
Surviving Charles are his mother, Ruby Ellen Hale; sister, LaDonna Ditzen; wife, Brenda Hale; children, Deanna Escalera, April Looney, Chuck Hale and Amber Hale; grandchildren, Clay Hale, Cayden Hale, Cayleb Hale, Arika Hale, Avery Hale, Kenna Trotter, Izak Hale, Lundon Givens, Hannah Escalera, Zeka Escalera, Olivia Caskey and Brody Stanfield and a host of other family and friends.
Charles will be dearly missed by all! We love you Daddy and Papa.
Charles was preceded in death by his father, Charles Clay Hale and a brother, Mark William Hale.
Funeral services for Charles will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025 at 1:00 PM at OK Cremation & Funeral Home Chapel, 2415 N. Walnut Ave., Oklahoma City with Brother Arthur Garcia officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Chad Leniger, Jacob Collier, Justin Collier, Steven Gregory, Craig Crow and Justin Vandiver.
Burial will follow at Arlington Memory Gardens in Spencer.
Services are under the direction of OK Cremation & Funeral Home, Oklahoma City.
