Charles "Bull" Hall Jr. of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family who loved him, on April 6th, 2024. He was reunited in heaven with his beautiful, loving wife of 62 years, Mary H. Hall, who preceded him in death on August 25, 2023. He was born on May 29th, 1938, to the late Charles H. and Pallie Hall. His siblings were Betty Crawford, Tinsey Bee Hall, Shearlie Temple Hall, Jack Hall, Gene Hall, Roy Hall, and Martin Hall.
He leaves behind his only son, William "Billy" (Carolyn) Moore, and two grandchildren, April Moore Sergent and William "Lee" (Elon) Moore II. He also leaves behind six great-grandchildren: Hannah Darden, Ivie Sergent, William "Trip" Moore III, Aven Serritt Moore, Carlee Banks, and Finn Moore. He leaves behind two very special great-great-grandbabies, August Darden and Davina Darden, and his precious fur baby Ozzie, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Charles was a loving husband, father, and the absolute Best PawPaw in the world. He lived his entire life in Calhoun and owned and operated Charles Hall Grading Company. His nickname was "Bull"; we are not sure if that is because he was stubborn & strong-headed or if he thought he knew everything, which, of course, he did. He was a hard-working man and, even at 85 years old, was cutting his grass and "fixing" things around his home. He could ''fix" anything with some super glue and duct tape. He was an avid golf & sports fan, and before he became disabled, you could find him at the Golf course hitting or collecting golf balls or riding his golf cart and hitting balls in his front yard. He loved watching golf and football on his TV with the volume wide open, he was a big Atlanta Falcons and Georgia Bulldog fan. He loved to travel and take his family on vacations. He loved Jesus and was ready to go to heaven. His family meant everything to him as he did to them. His family will forever cherish his memories and love.
A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mr. Charles Hall Jr., 85, of Calhoun, Georgia, will be held Monday, April 8, 2024, at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Timms officiating. Visitation from 10:00- 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest beside his wife.
