Gerald Everett Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Henderson & Sons Funeral Home - North Chapel and Crematory - Rome on Jan. 5, 2026.
Mr. Gerald F. Everett, age 77, of Calhoun, Georgia, regrettably passed away on Friday, January 2, 2026, at a local medical facility.
Gerald was born in Rome, Georgia on June 21, 1948, and was the son of the late Frank Sullivan Everett and Louise Everett.
Survivors include his loving wife of 26 years, Zandra Everett (formerly Smith); his stepson Nathan White and his wife Mandi; his grandchildren, Atticus, Liam, and Lyra; and numerous beloved friends.
Gerald was a man whose presence was felt wherever he went. He never met a stranger, only friends he hadn't spoken to yet. Gerald struck up conversations with ease, always genuinely interested in the people around him.
Gerald was also a remarkable handyman. There seemed to be nothing he couldn't fix, and he generously used his skills to help family, friends, and neighbors whenever something needed repairing.
Helping others was at the heart of who he was. He had a natural way of looking after people, offering practical help, thoughtful advice, and encouragement, especially to younger people who benefited from his wisdom. In recent years, Gerald spoke often and openly about the Lord, sharing his faith with everyone he met. His belief in the gospel of Jesus Christ was central to his life and guided the way he loved and served those around him.
He was greatly loved by his family, who find comfort in knowing that he is now at home with the Lord he faithfully served. Gerald's kindness, faith, and warm spirit leave a legacy in the lives of all who knew him. He was deeply loved and will be sorely missed.
Services for Gerald are in the charge of Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel and will be private according to his wishes. Serving as pallbearers will be Adam Williams, Harrison Williams, Luke Williams, and Brad Stone.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Les Feldick Ministries at https://www.lesfeldick.org/contrib.html.
Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel, is honored to serve the family of Mr. Gerald F. Everett.
