Charles Hall Obituary
Charles Curtis Hall, 89, of Ripley passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at Thomas Memorial Hospital.
Charles was born January 5, 1937 at Roane County a son of the late Cyrus Sylvester and Zannie (Harris) Hall. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Janet Hall; son Curtis Leon Hall and his brothers Harold, Darrell, Donzel, Jimmy “Juney”, Bill and an infant brother.
Charles is survived by his son Dirk Hall; grandchildren Tonya and Michael and 6 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Charles was a natural green thumb who enjoyed growing all kinds of flowers and plants. While living in Ohio he operated his own landscaping business, Chester’s Landscaping, doing residential and commercial landscaping. He faithfully read his Bible and attended the Ripley Tabernacle Baptist Church. He always looked forward to family holiday gatherings and reunions. He also enjoyed feeding birds and other animals during the winter months and making sure they were taken care of.
