Charles B. Hallock

Charles B. "Chuck" Hallock, 81, of Baldwinsville, passed away peacefully on Friday at Crouse Hospital with his daughter lovingly by his side.
Chuck was a familiar face in the Central New York restaurant scene. He owned and operated The Back Door Tavern, the Coliseum at the New York State Fair, and Hallock's Parkway Tavern in Liverpool. His restaurants weren't just places to eat - they were filled with shared laughter, fun, and friendships that lasted long after closing time.
After stepping away from the restaurant business, Chuck worked as a baker at Wegmans for 16 years, where his easygoing nature and warm smile made him a favorite among both coworkers and customers.
He had many passions in life. Chuck competed in trapshooting, avid hunter, loved his dogs, and took pride in his car, 65 Buick Wildcat. He had a big heart and was a loyal friend, always quick to share a laugh or lend a hand.
Chuck was predeceased by his parents; his daughter, Deborah Gilbert; and his sister, Judy Walker. He is survived by his daughter, Denise Hallock, who he adored; grandchildren, Bradley Westfall and Ashley Bennett; son-in-law, Brian Gilbert; and former wife, Nancy Hallock.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 12, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Farone & Son, Inc. Funeral Home, 4899 W. Taft Road, Liverpool, NY 13088.
Chuck will be remembered for his kindness, humor, and the love he had for his family and friends. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
