Charles Hamilton, lovingly known as “Charlie,” age 62, of Slaterville Springs, New York, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on December 29, 1962, in Ithaca, NY. Charlie was known for his big heart, sense of humor, and willingness to lend a hand to anyone in need. He loved to hunt and fish, host chicken barbecues—what he liked to call “a cook”—and spend time with his family and friends. Charlie had previously been employed with W. Case Tree Service and Pro Lawn/Bellisario.
Charlie is survived by his sisters Lori Brown Kahle, Randi Darling, brothers David, (Joanne) Hamilton, Dave Brown, favorite nephew Burt (Cheyenne) Brown, special cousin Charliene Reeves Rich, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is also survived by very long-time special friend Robin Hunt and her children, Ashley, Candi, Chris & Jeremy and his bonus sister Sarah Lasher.
He was predeceased by his Father, Earnest Hamilton, Mother Charlene Brown, Stepmother Dawn Hamilton, Son Nathan and Siblings Walter Hamilton, Connie Hamilton, and his beloved dog, Skid.
In keeping with Charlie’s wishes, there will be no funeral services. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Hospice and their wonderful staff for the care and compassion shown to Charlie in his final days.
