Tyler was born January 10, 1993, in Quincy, IL to Angela (Ross) O'Brien and Charles Thomas Harbourn, Jr.
Survivors include his parents Tom and Angie; one sister, Maegan Bainter (Tony) of Hannibal, MO; one nephew, Dillon Bainter (Shy), and their children, Gabe and Naomi; one niece, Lexia Bainter; his grandparents, C.T. Harbourn Sr. of Quincy, IL, Mary Thompson of Hannibal, MO, and Carolyn Ross of Hannibal, MO; several aunts and uncles, Danny Ross, Jeri Pritchett (Sutro), Amy Rodgers (Darrin), Chris Ross, and Karen Lawzano (Michael); and many cousins.
Tyler was preceded in death by his uncle, Mark Ross; his grandpa, Leroy Ross; and his grandpa, Richard Thompson.
Tyler enjoyed helping his father and grandfather at their family businesses, C&B Steel and A&B Patio & Railing. He also helped his landlord, Kelly Allen, work in the garage as a mechanic.
Tyler, or "Twitch" as he was affectionately referred to by his friends, enjoyed collecting coins, especially wheatback pennies. He had several blue books full of various coins. He also enjoyed bowling and golf. He collected guns and knives and even participated in the Gun Club at school, for which he was an excellent shooter. Tyler loved the water, whether that be swimming in his family pool or fishing out on the river. He also enjoyed watching crime dramas like NCIS, Chicago PD, Chicago FD, and Scooby Doo. Tyler was an avid animal lover and had several dogs over the years. He had a special place in his heart for his dogs: Vern, Suco, and his first dog, Scooby Doo. Tyler was a smart man; in third grade, he was top of the district in math at Adams School and he even learned Braille. Riding his four-wheeler, playing video games, listening to rock and country music, and lazy days at the river camp were some of his other favorite activities. However, above everything, family meant the most to Tyler and he loved every second he got to spend with them.
Tyler attended Union United Methodist Church in Quincy and attended their weekly youth group.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Sheri Wolfmeyer for being Tyler's visual-impairment teacher throughout his schooling career.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Illinois School for the Visually Impaired in Jacksonville, IL or the Quincy Humane Society.
