Charles Hardaker, age 88, of Dalton, passed away Monday, June 12, 2023.
He was preceded in death by his son, Stephen Hardaker; parents, Gladys and Merle Hardaker and sister and brother-in-law, Avis Ivey and Ralph Ivey.
He was a longtime member of Grove Level Baptist Church and worked in the clothing retail business for many years.
He is survived by his loving wife of sixty two years, Kathy Hardaker; daughter and son-in-law, Mary Anne and Wes Fogle of Dalton; son and daughter-in-law, David and Beth Hardaker of Huntsville, AL; five grandchildren, Quinn Fogle (Morgan), Jackson Carroll, Rachel Hardaker and Bryan Hardaker and Reesie Fogle; daughter-in-law, Angela Blevins; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Anne and Steve Mitchell of Arizona; nieces and nephews, Mark Ivey (Karen), Kent Ivey (Laura), Starr Cain (Marshall), and Cheryl Suddeth (Chriss). The family wants to express special thanks to his caregivers at Regency Park for taking wonderful care of Charles.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at 1:00 pm at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Dr. Charlie Bridges officiating. Burial will follow in United Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00 am until the service time at 1:00 pm.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions sent in memory of Charles Hardaker to Grove Level Baptist Church, 2802 Cleveland Road, Dalton, GA 30721. Messages of comfort may be sent to the family at www.julianpeeples.com
