He was born February 10, 1946, to Leo and Gertrude (Klauer) Henchen in Neillsville, WI.
Chuck is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Sharon (Boehm). He will be lovingly remembered by his children: Lori (Jerry) Sorensen, Kristy (Craig) Girard, Tammy (Jim Shoup) Pollock, Teresa (John) Zirbel, Todd (Angela) Henchen, and Shawn (Stephanie) Hillmann; grandchildren: Ashley (Brett), Brenton, Tanner (Lina), Chase (Mary), Alaina (Brendan), Rilee, Nicholas, Taylor, Aidan, Elle, Joshua, and Noah; and great-grandchildren: Sofia and Emily. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Bruce Henchen.
Chuck grew up on a farm, was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church, and graduated from Neillsville High School in 1965.
He served our country in the Wisconsin Army National Guard and worked as a tool and die maker. He also resided in both Rice Lake and Chippewa Falls. He was a faithful Christian and a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Rice Lake (where he was married to Sharon) and later Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Bloomer, volunteering and serving on the board of both churches.
He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, gardening, and using his John Deere lawnmower. He also enjoyed woodworking, playing cards and board games, doing puzzles, restoring and building model trains, and spending time with his grandchildren.
