It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce the passing of Pastor Charles Hewett, beloved servant of God, devoted leader, and cherished friend, who went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 27, 2025. As we remember and honor him, we reflect on his deep faith, his unwavering commitment to spreading the Word of God, and the profound impact he had on each of our lives.
Pastor Hewett was more than just a preacher. He was a servant of God, a teacher, a guide, and a friend. His life was a testament to the power of faith, and his ministry reflected a heart that sought only to serve others. Whether standing in the pulpit, offering counsel to a hurting soul, or lending a helping hand to someone in need, he lived his life with purpose and compassion.
Pastor Hewett is survived by his daughter, Wanda (Robert) Smith of Clermont, FL; 2 grandsons, Charles Smith of Howey In The Hills, FL and Jerry Smith of Douglas, GA; 2 brothers, Donald Hewett of New Smyrna Beach, FL and Harry Hewett of New Smyrna Beach, FL; 2 sisters, Dorothy Trotter and Shirley Matthews; 8 Great-Grandchildren, Alexis, Jordan, Cassidy, Chase, Maghan, Destiny, Zoey and Hannah; as well as 5 Great-Great-Grandchildren, Ensley, Kazdyn, Brantley, Camilla and Jaxtyn.
The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Ferndale Spirit Life Church of God, Ferndale, with the burial following at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell. The family will receive friends at the Ferndale Spirit Life Church of God, Ferndale on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, from 9:00 AM till 10:00 AM. All are welcome to attend and celebrate the life and ministry of Pastor Charles Hewett.
Let us remember him with love and let us honor his memory by striving to live out the lessons he taught us. May we all find peace in knowing that he is now with the Lord he served so faithfully, and that one day we will be reunited with him in eternity.
Rest in peace, Pastor Charles Hewett. You have fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith.
