Charles Holcomb Obituary
Jonesville – Charles William Holcomb, 80, passed away Monday, August 26, 2024. He was born September 8, 1943 in Surry County to the late Ernest William Holcomb and Bernice Vanhoy Holcomb. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Eva Mae Vestal Holcomb; daughter, Melissa Adams; brothers, Tommy Holcomb and Benny Holcomb. He is survived by his children, William Holcomb, Tina Holcomb Whitaker; son-in-law, Shane Adams; grandchildren, Jessica Whitaker, Brody Whitaker, Jenna Adams, Gavin Adams, Channin (Jessica) Adams; two great grandchildren; sister, Linda (Ken) Taylor; brother, Larry (Wanda) Holcomb; and several nieces and nephews. His funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, August 29, 2024 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville by the Rev. Stephen Evans. Burial will follow at Boonville Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville, which is serving the Holcomb family.
