Charles "Chuck" Hunley Jr.

June 20, 1977 – March 11, 2026

Charles "Chuck" Hunley Jr., age 48, passed away on March 11, 2026. Chuck was a devoted father, son, brother, uncle, and loyal friend whose quiet strength, generosity, and steady presence touched many lives.

He is survived by his beloved daughter, Isabella Hunley; his parents, Charles and Bessie Hunley; his sister, Felicia (Joe) Agy; his brother, Joe (Brittany) Hunley; his nephew Joseph (Haley) and their children Ben and Josiah; and his niece Bethany. Chuck was deeply loved by his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Born and raised in Michigan, Chuck had a deep appreciation for the outdoors. He especially loved hunting and fishing, finding peace and enjoyment in nature. Those who knew him best would describe him as a private and direct man, but also incredibly kind and thoughtful. Chuck was the type of man who would quietly step in to help someone in need without asking for recognition. His actions spoke far louder than words, and his generosity and loyalty left a lasting impression on those around him.

Chuck dedicated much of his life to his work as a Master Scalesman, a career he took great pride in. He recently celebrated 25 years of service, a testament to his strong work ethic, commitment, and reliability.

More than anything, Chuck valued his family and friends. Whether spending time outdoors, sharing a laugh, or simply being present, he showed his love through quiet acts of care and support.

As the family grieves this profound loss, they find strength in their faith and in the love of friends and family. During the days and weeks ahead, they ask for continued prayers, comfort, and support.

As scripture reminds us:

"We take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ."

- 2 Corinthians 10:5

And in times of sorrow, the family holds close the promise found in Isaiah 41:10:

"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

The Hunley family is deeply grateful for the prayers, love, and support shown during this difficult time.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 21, 2026 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Pia's Ristorante Italiano, 21142 Ecorse Road, Taylor, MI 48180
