Well, I'm not exactly sure where to start... so let me just say thank u to each of u who has left sweet words of sympathy, comfort & stories...it makes me so happy to know that myself & my family aren't the only ppl to experience what a wonderful man Grandpa was. He really did love all the children that he drove to school, whether it be regular route or the lil bus filled with his buddies with special needs, Grandpa loved them all & I think (hope) they each knew it. He was a very warm, caring man & was glad always, to help anyone in need whether he knew them or not, he would walk away another friend richer each time. He was easy to love & is very hard to let go of. I know he was tired as he fought cancer for awhile, but he never gave up on those wonderful smiles and hugs, and raising cane if need be (all in lightheartedness of course). There is a new song out by Toby Kieth titled "cryin for me" WOW... is all i can say... if u havent heard it... listen to it... and think of him. I do everytime I hear it... like right now... crying. Ya know, my grandpa wasn't an openly religious man, but let me tell you what i know he believed in 1,Family even though sometimes a few of us have had a names in paper for things other than winning a Grammy (lol)nomatter the problems we sometimes got ourselves in... he was there... always, Always! 2,Friends b/c u can never have enough... and to him, why not love and help everyone, just be friends... it's simple. 3, The Golden rule... just treat ppl right they'll treat u right(smiling all along). 4, Hard work, y not, if you are able, you work, you have to feed your family and your horses! :) (we've all learned through his illness you can't depend on the government to help out). 5, GOD I know my Grandpa didn't publicly display where he stood on religion but I know in his heart what he believed. During one of his many trips to kdh to stay I stayed with him overnight & right before going to sleep he said "Chris, did I tell u Scudder came to pray with me, for me" I said "no papaw u didn't, that was awfully nice of him", he said "it sure it was, it was a real nice visit" I said "well papaw, I don't believe we can have too many ppl praying for us" he agreed Smiling and told me he loved and good night... with kisses on forehead at that point it was lights out. My sis said to me once if getting into heaven only took being a great man then she knew papaw would be first in line, well I think he was. NoOne will ever convince me otherwise. I think most would agree. I could go on & on speaking of him, God knows I think of him constantly & miss him already soo much, our life... well Mine won't be the same without him, but I'll do what everyone keeps saying to do & just reflect 24/7 of the wonderful man he was & the great memories I have. Growing up on Big Doe Run with him & Grandma... couldn't have been better. I agree with my Uncle Randy on that one for sure. Sorry about the lengthy post, I hope u understand. Love & missing Papaw so much, Christy
Thanks for taking the time to read.

Charlie was a wonderfully kind man. When we moved here, he was the bus driver for our special needs child and Charlie always treated Dillon with respect and kindness. Whenever I saw him he never failed to ask about Dillon. Things like that are never forgotten. I am very sad to hear of his passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. Sincerely and with much love, The Splains- Mike, Angie, Cole & Dillon

Charlie Jester was a great person. Nathan will always remember riding with Charlie in the Swiss Wine Festival parade with his horses and buggy. He will be greatly missed. Our blessings go out to the family.
