Charles F. Jones, age 58, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at his residence in Morton, MS. His visitation will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. and Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM at Morton Church of Jesus Name. His services will take place at Morton Church of Jesus Name at 2:00 PM. His burial will follow at Salem Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery in Walnut Grove, MS. Bro. Carl Bishop, Bro. Paul Ramsey, Bro. John Goodhue and Bro. Robert Gatewood will officiate under the direction of Wolf Funeral Services.
Charles was born on November 6, 1965, to Benjamin Franklin Jones and Edna Earl Jackson in Morton, MS. He was a lifelong resident of Morton, MS. Charles was a member of Morton Church of Jesus Name in Morton, MS. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, rodeoing and attending church. Charles had worked for B. C. Rogers and Koch Foods for over thirty-five years.
Charles was preceded in death by his mother, Edna Earl Parker; his father, Benjamin Franklin Jones; his step-father, Mackie Parker. He is survived by his wife, Ruthie Jones of Morton, MS; his two sons, John Charles Jones (Heather) of Morton, MS and Thomas Anthony Jones (Kasey Danielle) of Morton, MS; his sister, Minyon Watkins of Conehatta, MS; his two brothers, Edward Earl Jones of Lake, MS and Jim Paul Jones of Winona, MS and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Donald Joe Bufkin, John Purvis, Daniel Bates, Jessie Jones, Austin Sanders, Tommy Bates, Isaac Powell, Paul Dale Powell, Kenneth Ray Powell, T. Buddy McPhail, Alex Thompson and Earnie Ezell.
Honorary pallbearers will be Johnathan Jones, Hunter Jones, Autumn Jones and Kevin Jones.
