It is with unimaginable sorrow that we announce the passing of Charles Timothy Jones III, known to all as our beloved Cody, (51) who passed away suddenly on September 26, 2025, at his home in Hersey.

Cody was born on May 25, 1974 in Atlanta, Georgia to Charles II and Janet (Newberry) Jones. He moved to Michigan as a young man and graduated from Anchor Bay High School in 1992. He later moved to Barryton (Merrill Lake) where he worked at Tubelite and eventually became a Screw Machine Operator for Northern Precision Products.

Cody was a man who lived simply but loved completely. His sense of humor was legendary, and he had a rare gift for making everyone around him feel happy and at ease.

If he wasn't home or with his family he was most likely spending his free time kayaking on the Muskegon River or enthusiastically operating his collection of remote control cars. These activities were a quiet reflection of his spirit-always navigating, always moving, and always in control of his own journey.

Cody will be remembered for his incredible ability to make people laugh, his deep love for his family, and his kind, generous heart. He was a son, father, partner, and a friend whose presence brightened every life he touched.

He was a devoted partner, for over 30 years to Stacie Wood, and a wonderful father to his two children Christopher (Shawna Mcdaniels & family) Jones and Aaron Jones. He is also survived by extended family and friends.

Cody was preceded in death by: his parents and a half-sister Tammy Lynn Jones.

Private family services have taken place through the care of Corey Funeral Home, Evart, MI. A life celebration will take place at a later date. In his memory, we ask that you take a moment to enjoy the outdoors or share a laugh with someone you love-two things he cherished most. Share online at www.coreyfuneralhome.com
