Charles Keith Lancaster lost his lifelong battle with his own heart on September 13th, 2024 at the much
too young age of 62. As his heart broke for the final time, he left a wave of the broken hearts of his
family behind him. This includes his partner in life for over 40 years, Tresa Stewart, her 2 sons, Sam and
Tony, her 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Also, his dedicated and loving parents, Charles
Wendell Lancaster and Joyce Blankenship Lancaster, his big sister, Terri Weaver, his brother-in-more-
than-law, Gary Weaver, his four nephews, and one niece, and eleven great-nephews and nieces his
Uncle John, his Uncle Rex, and his many cousins.
Born on October 26th, 1961 in Hawkinsville, GA, Keith grew up in Jacksonville, FL and Midway, GA. His
dual hometowns shaped his love of freedom and living life to the fullest, always to the beat of his own
drum, but probably to the rhythm of a Skynyrd or Eagles tune. During his time living in Georgia he grew
to love the Dawgs, and mirrored that in the love he had for all the dogs who shared in his home and
life. He dedicated his career to moving the food, goods, and products that make all of our lives
dependable, and in his free time he showed his love with a steady presence for his family and friends to
lean and depend on.
This strength, dependability and kindness that Keith always displayed continues on beyond his earthly
life. Countless others will get to live on because of his selfless donation of his organs. Many who never
got to know Keith in this life will still get to lean on him and thrive because of this gift.
We will gather to celebrate Keith's life on Saturday, October 5th at 2pm at Lakeshore Baptist Church,
2365 Blanding Blvd. Jacksonville, FL 32210.
Please join us as we remember his amazing life as our
beloved partner, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.
