He was born on March 20, 1948, in Nashville, TN, to the late Mattie Pearl Williams Langston Fowler and John "Johnny" David Langston. He retired as a painter with Poole's Painting. He enjoyed fishing, grilling, and hanging out with his family and friends. Charles was known for his love and generosity.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, John Langston, James Langston, Harold Langston, and David Langston; and an infant sister, Jonnie Sue Langston.
His survivors include daughter, Tammy (Jerry) Jacobs of Earlington; sons, Charles Langston, Jr. of Madisonville; Robert Langston and Rocky Langston, both of Tennessee; brother, Ralph Langston of Springfield, TN; grandchildren, Paige Jenkins, Zachary Jenkins, Jerry (Amy) Jacobs, Jr., Braxton Langston, Brandon (Shelby) Langston, Hailey Langston, Dakota Langston, Julianna Whitson, and Amber Langston; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his true love, Clara Whitfield.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Harris Funeral Home was entrusted with care.
