Lowell Gene Langston, son of Letha Plumlee Langston and Leonard Langston was born May 6, 1937, in Morriston, Arkansas and departed from this world on October 15, 2025, at his home in Morriston, Arkansas at the age of 88 years.
He spent his entire life working on the family farm and helped to establish it as one of the best farms in the area. In his later years, when he couldn’t farm much, he spent hours riding around the farm in his side by side and if he could get a passenger, that was even better. He would light up telling the history of his home place and stories of long ago. He was blessed with a wonderful memory and an easy-going disposition as attested to by the many friends who still came to visit him until he went home. He loved a good deer hunt, probably more the pursuit than the kill. He loved visiting with friends and family and going out to eat. He was a truly kindhearted person and very much loved. He was a member of the Heart Church of Christ in Heart, Arkansas.
Lowell Gene was preceded in death by his parents, brother and sister-in-law, Russell and Wilma Langston, nephew Alan Wade Langston, great great nephew Breten Russell Wallace, and great great great nephew Callahan Russell Wallace.
He is survived by nephew Larry (Vickie) Langston, niece Teresa Conner, great niece Tania (Rusty) Wallace, great nephews Brent (Julia) Langston, Tyler Conner, great great nephew Blaine (Moriah) Wallace, great great niece Brenna (Koby) Herring, great great nephews Trevor and Zachary Langston. He is also survived by several cousins and many friends.
