Coy, Chalese and Mrs. Mary,

I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of Mr. Charlie. Due to work, I was unable to attend the funeral but all of you were in my thoughts and prayers. I have many fond memories of your family together. Just hold on to the many wonderful memories that you have of your father (& husband) and may those comfort you during this difficult time. Always remember that no matter what, no one can ever take those memories away from you.

My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult and tragic time.

Mary,

Words cannot express our deep sadness for your loss. Charley was a wonderful and optimistic person who always has upbeat things to say at our Bayer meetings. I have never heard him say an unkind word about anyone. He will be missed greatly but rest assured that he will live on in our fondest memories.

Mary, Coy and Chalese,

Words cannot explain our shock and dismay that we feel for your loss. Our whole family, Alyssa, Weston and Chad included, can only remember things from so many years ago. I see Charlie taking Chalese to the pool at night so she can swim. I see Charlie taking the boys around our house, at Alyssa's slumber party, so they could toilet paper the many trees we once had. I in return took the girls out so they could "get Coy back". I see Charlie in the Uncle Sam outfit leading the 4th of July parade. He loved the children!

I have had my third back surgery and wanted to walk over the other day but it would have probably taken me a half hour, atleast, to get there and then I would have had to hang around so I could get the energy to walk back. I am so sorry I didn't come. I will come later.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Mary and Coy and Chelese and Family,

Mary Ann called me Thursday night with the sad news of Charlie's death. I am so sorry to learn of your loss. Of course, it is a great shock to all of us. I hate that I have not been in touch as often as I should, but your family, indeed all of the Lassiter family, are precious relatives that I feel very close to. I cherish the times that we have visited with each other. Charlie was always so full of life, so much fun to be around!! His tragic death is hard to comprehend.

Please accept my sympathy. I am thinking of you and wishing that each new day will bring you comfort.

Take care. Thinking of you.

Love. . . Jerry Thompson
