Charles Wayne Leonard, lovingly known as Wayne, 82, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. He was born on December 19, 1942.

Wayne was a lifelong member of Colonial Baptist Church in Blue Ridge, VA, faithfully serving for 82 years. A man of many talents, he enjoyed woodworking, sawmilling, and could often be found on his tractor. He proudly drove tractor-trailers for nearly 25 years and was truly a jack of all trades. There was little he couldn't fix or build. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Lois Leonard; his in-laws, Fred and Cordelia Gray; his sister, Jean Bird; and his brother-in-law, Ray Bird.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife and love of his life for 54 years, Carol Anne Leonard; his daughters, Julie Shelton (David) and Heather Switzer (Donald); his grandchildren, Sara Hollish (Chris), Seth Shelton, and Dillon Switzer; his great-grandchildren, Lyla Hollish, and Caleb Hollish; and his niece and nephews, Rickie Bird (Margie), Mike Bird (Jill), and Kathy Tucker (Edwin), and his sister-in-law, April Gray (Mike McNeely).

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at 3:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior, at Colonial Baptist Church (221 Hillcrest St, Blue Ridge, VA 24064), with Pastor John Dooley and Pastor Joel Wegner officiating.
