Charles "Bud" Leu, born April 13, 1937, was peacefully called home to be with his Lord and Savior on December 26, 2025. He was born at home in Fairview Park, Ohio to Charles and Viola Leu and died at home in Medina.

Bud was the heart of his family and the devoted and loving husband of Carol (Flick), his wife of 64 wonderful years. Together they built a life filled with faith, family, hard work, laughter, and love. He was a proud father, a loving grandfather and great-grandfather, and a caring uncle who always made time for family. Bud's home was the center for gathering the extended family, with many around the dinner table, celebrating holidays and milestones with home-cooked meals and stories.

A man of deep Christian faith, Bud lived his life with integrity, humility, and gratitude for God's blessings. As a young couple, Bud and Carol joined with other families to start Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Medina and remained active members. He served the church on countless committees, enjoyed playing softball on the church team, and was always ready to help with his time and skills or the donation of bacon for Easter Sunday breakfasts.

He was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to providing for his family. For more than six decades, Bud worked alongside his father, brother and family at the Leu's meat stand at the West Side Market in Cleveland. He built lasting relationships with generations of customers' and other stand owners' families and was well known for his reliability, friendly smile and red hat.

Bud was an engineer at heart and could fix just about anything. He loved working with his hands, repairing cars, woodworking, and home construction projects. His family will forever be surrounded by reminders of his craftsmanship. He also enjoyed golf, swimming and black cherry ice cream.

Bud is lovingly remembered by his wife Carol and their children and spouses, Bryan and Diane Leu, Sally and Frank Naglich, and Jane Leu and Ted Levinson, their grandchildren and spouses, Karen Leu and Paul Rini, Adam and Lauren Naglich, Breanna Naglich and Christopher Gobart, Amy Leu, Eric Naglich and partner Riley Appelgren, beloved great granddaughter, Rosalie Belle Naglich and many cherished nieces and nephews and their children.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Viola Leu, and his siblings and their spouses, Robert Leu, Ruth and Martin Helmke, and Marian and David McRitchie and survived by sister in law Beverly Leu.

Though deeply missed, his family finds comfort in knowing Bud is now at peace, welcomed into eternal life.

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." - 2 Timothy 4:7

Met Bud while working and growing up at the West Side Market ... (77-90s in the competing next stall at Lou Weber) ... Bud was everything described here, a nice guy who I learned from and respected tremendously. Carol, Sally and Bryan ... I'm sorry for your loss and thinking of you on this day !
