Dr. Charles A. Loguda M.D.

Dr. Charles A. Loguda, M.D., of Mendham, New Jersey, formerly of Summit, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2025, at the age of 84.
Born in Passaic, New Jersey, he was the beloved son of the late Sophie (née Pieklo) and Peter Loguda. A proud veteran, Dr. Loguda served as a U.S. Army Major and surgeon during the Vietnam War, where he dedicated his skills and compassion to caring for his fellow servicemen.
Following his military service, he devoted more than 45 years of his career as a plastic surgeon, serving on staff at both Overlook Hospital in Summit and Rahway Hospital until his retirement in 2020. Known for his precision, dedication, and kind bedside manner, Dr. Loguda touched countless lives through his work.
Dr. Loguda is survived by his cherished wife, Paula Kraft Loguda; his children, Christopher Loguda and his fiancée Maria, and Cynthia Loguda; his siblings, Sonia Vanderhorn and her husband Robert, and Peter Loguda.
Beyond his professional and family life, Charles was a man of many passions. He loved golf, traveling, boating and scuba diving, nurturing his plants and was an avid NY Giants fan. He was a longtime member of Canoe Brook Country Club in Summit and the Park Avenue Club in Florham Park, where he enjoyed friendships and community.
Dr. Loguda will be remembered for his unwavering devotion to his family, his service to his country, and his many contributions to medicine and his community.
The memorial visitation will be held at Paul Ippolito Summit Memorial, 7 Summit Ave., Summit, NJ on Friday, October 3rd, from 4-7 PM.
