Charles R Lopez, 63, of Springville, Utah, passed away peacefully in his home Friday, January 2, 2026 from a long battle with health issues. He was born November 14, 1962 in Provo, Utah to Carl and Patsy Lopez. He married Sandy Shepherd January 14, 1983 and had 2 boys and were happily married for 43 years.
He worked as a maintenance mechanic for Vegicap until 2004 when he became disabled.
He loved scuba diving, hunting, camping, and mountain man lifestyle.
He is survived by his wife Sandy and 2 children, Shaw M Lopez of Santaquin Utah, and Nathan S Lopez of Springville Utah and 4 grandchildren. He was also survived by 1 brother James Lopez and 2 sisters Sherry Searle and Carla Lopez.
An evening viewing for family and friends will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at Wheeler & Sundberg Funeral Homes, 211 East 200 South, Springville, Utah. A viewing will also be held the day of the service from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. on Friday, January 9, 2026 at the funeral home. The graveside service will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at the Springville Evergreen Cemetery, 1997 South 400 East, Springville, Utah.
