Charles Ronny "Cr" Lowe

Charles Ronny "CR" Lowe, 82, of Asheville, passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
Born November 6, 1942, in Buncombe Co., CR was a son of the late Charles Eldridge Lowe and Bertie Haney Barbee. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Lowe Setzer and his brother, Larry Ray Lowe.
Mr. Lowe was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and worked as a District Manager for Ingles Markets. He was a faithful member of Abernethy United Methodist Church, volunteering in the church's Good Faith Garden and the annual pumpkin patch for 18 years. He loved playing golf, the Cincinnati Reds and the Cleveland Browns, and meeting with his coffee group.
Surviving is his wife, Martha Jo Williams Lowe; sons, Kenny M. Lowe (Julie Innes and Isabelle Innes) and Alan Lowe; granddaughter, Ashlyn Kay Lowe; sister, Carole Lowe Stroud (Rick); nephews, Jeff Smith, Kevin Setzer and Chris Setzer; and special niece, Mona Buck (Brad).
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 8, in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home, with Pastor Noel Sweezy and the Rev. Larry Sprinkle officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Saturday, prior to the service. Private family burial will be held at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain.
