Charles E. "Charlie" Lowery

Charles E. "Charlie" Lowery, 71, husband of Deborah Lowery, passed away on Monday, September 1, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family. He was the son of the late Betty Ann Lowery.

Charlie worked for Valley Dale for 17 years and Kroger warehouse for 27 years prior to his retirement. He was a hardworking and loving man who took care of everyone. He was the best husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather anyone could have. He enjoyed his family, grandkids, racing, the Yankees, the Raiders and riding roller coasters.

In addition to his wife of 32 years, Deborah Muterspaugh Lowery, he will be missed and remembered by his sons, Tony Lowery (Jackie), Robert Spangler (Alicia); daughter, Danielle Conner (Devin); grandchildren, Leigha (Paul), Elizabeth (Dakota), Ahlena (Trevor), Kenna, Devin, and Kyle (Kat); great-grandchildren, Skylar, Chael, and Madeline; brothers, Gary Lowery (Brenda), and William Lowery; sisters, Rosetta Niece (Donnie), and Lynn Rogers (Ken); four special cousins who were more like sisters, Patty (Jimmy), Debbie (Darryl), Jackie, and Jeanetta, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, September 4, 2025 in the Chapel of Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road with Pastor Rodney Spears officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
