Charles W. Lowry Jr. (89) of Southaven, Mississippi passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025.

Charles honorably served in the United States Air Force for 22 years, and upon retirement, he then founded Chuck Lowry Lawn Service (Turfmaster Inc.). Charles was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was a faithful member of Longview Heights Baptist Church. He was known for his quick wit, hard work ethic, and organizational skills, which led him to being called "The General" by his Navajo mission teams.

He is survived by his wife Elaine (of 69 years) and sons Mike (Ginger) and Tim (Carrie), Grandchildren Kristyn Burchett (Woody), Erin Anderson (Garrett),Adam Thorne (Melanie), and Hunter Lowry (Brooke), and 10 great grandchildren. As well as 2 sisters, Anita Glover of Brooks, GA and Beth Lowry of Rock Hill, SC; and sister-in-law Dorothy Neely of Hernando, MS.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 9, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. until the service time at 11:00 a.m. at Longview Heights Baptist Church in Olive Branch, MS. Burial will be at the West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Longview Heights Baptist Church or a charity of your choice.
